The cuisine here can be best described as quintessentially British with a contemporary twist. Rosie's excels in delivering hearty breakfasts and comforting café staples with an emphasis on quality and taste. Signature dishes such as the perfectly poached Eggs Benedict, the satisfying Vegetarian English Breakfast, and the indulgent Stuffed French Toast are standouts that entice both the eyes and the palate. The café also impresses with its selection of traditional sandwiches — from the rich Bacon, Brie & Cranberry to the tangy Pastrami with Dill Pickle & Dijon Mustard — offering something deliciously different for every taste.
One cannot talk about Rosie's without mentioning their exceptional beverage program. Their cappuccinos and velvety lattes are crafted to perfection, providing that rich, smooth coffee experience coffee lovers crave. Those with a sweeter tooth will be drawn to the tempting array of cakes, including the vibrant Rainbow Cake and the decadently moist Red Velvet Cake. For a unique twist, the Black Forest Hot Chocolate adds a luscious depth of flavor that perfectly complements the café's calming ambiance.
The sensory experience here goes beyond food and drink. Rosie's radiates a friendly and relaxed vibe where guests can unwind or enjoy a lively catch-up with friends. It's a place where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the comforting scent of baked goods, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages lingering. Even with its busy moments, as noted by some customers, the genuine care in food preparation and the cozy setting make every visit rewarding.
Customer feedback paints a vivid picture of Rosie's special place in the community. Regulars like Tim Gill cherish the unrestricted, laid-back service that allows them to enjoy their breakfast at their own pace, whether catching up on work or simply savoring their large latte. While the café can get busy, especially towards closing time, the overall dedication to quality shines through — from the robust flavors of their breakfasts to the unbeatable richness of their milkshakes, hailed by one guest as "the best in a long time." The attention to cleanliness and the charming décor, including the much-loved Wonderwall flora, elevate the experience further, inviting patrons to snap a memorable photo or two.
While a few guests mention the pricing as leaning towards the higher side, most agree that the premium ingredients and the welcoming atmosphere justify the occasional splurge. Whether you're craving a classic Cheese on Toast, a refreshing Nutella and Banana Milkshake, or loaded fries adorned with melted cheese, Rosie's delivers with flair and consistency.
In summary, Rosie's Coffee Bar And Kitchen is more than just a café — it's a comforting retreat where thoughtful British breakfast fare meets artisan coffee culture in Stockport’s vibrant center. Perfect for those seeking a quality meal with a side of personal space, Rosie's welcomes you to slow down, indulge your senses, and savor every delicious bite.
The food is delicious from here, but unfortunately this time it was a massive rush we did come in a hour before close so I get that, but as we sat and ate our food we had a staff member mopping the floor around us, the smell of bleach was strong, and kinda ruined it for us, she then left the mop bucket right at our table while she cleaned the rest of the tables. The table behind us said the same also. Not very pleasant while eating, especially after paying £90 for five meals.
Yet another amazing breakfast at Rosie's! My go-to place whenever I'm in the area. Such wonderful service, very tasty food and no rush from the staff as they see me take calls and write a couple of emails while I'm sipping on my large latte after my gorgeous breakfast. See you all again, much thanks
We ordered English breakfast and tea. Delicious food, maybe a bit pricey, but the place is cute and gives nice vibes to go and enjoy a slice of cake or anything else with friends or family. The bathroom is always clean. Service is quick enough, and staff could improve in kindness, but overall, I recommend this place as a gem in Stockport centre! Don't forget to take a pic with the Wonderwall floral mural!!
Been here several times. I will start by explaining that I have to dropped to four star just purely down to the high costs. Very much overpriced. Apart from that, I suppose you pay for quality. The food was lovely. Milkshakes are the best we’ve had in a long time. Greek wrap was really tasty and kids menu mac n cheese was good. Will be back, but definitely more of a treat than a leisurely day out.
Great food at good prices. Only disappointment they had no black pudding left for breakfast. Partner had tuna mayo jacket spud. It was huge.
Came here for lunch yesterday. It was incredibly busy (always a good sign!) and the staff seemed rushed off their feet, but were still smiling and giving amazing service. Our food took a while, but we were warned this ahead of time, and it was well worth the wait- I really recommend the smoked salmon eggs benedict and the mac and cheese! Can’t wait to go back and try out their breakfast plates. Also a huge thank you to Chantelle for the amazing service- she made sure my meal was meat-free and I could see she was being incredibly attentive to all customers she was serving (as were the other waiters!)
